Modern Slavery Statement

This sets out the Altrades modern slavery statement.

Introduction

As a business we are not legally obliged to publish this statement. Nevertheless, we recognise that we have a moral responsibility to combat modern slavery and human trafficking and view this statement as an indication of our commitment to developing awareness and implementing practices which serve to ensure that it does not take place within our business and supply chains.

Our Organisation

Altrades Packaging Ltd is a UK-based company specialising in the sourcing and supply of packaging products across multiple sectors. We work with a diverse network of suppliers and customers to deliver high-quality packaging solutions.

We are committed to operating with integrity, transparency, and respect for human rights. We recognise the risks of modern slavery within global supply chains and take responsibility for ensuring such practices have no place in our business or partnerships.

We build long-term relationships with suppliers who share our ethical standards and expect compliance with all relevant laws, including fair wages, safe working conditions, and the prohibition of forced labour.

Through ongoing monitoring, supplier engagement, and internal awareness, we continue to strengthen our efforts to identify and mitigate modern slavery risks.

Our Policies

While we believe the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking within the legal sector are relatively low, we endeavour to operate good business practices, including money laundering checks, and are working toward having a zero tolerance position on modern slavery and human trafficking.

Our Code of Conduct and Compliance Plan reflect our commitment to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our supply chain or in any part of our business. It sets out our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships.

We operate good employment practices, and our recruitment and employment policies contain robust processes in line with UK employment laws, including checks to confirm the ‘right to work’ in the UK and contracts of employment. Our consultant lawyers are all required to comply with applicable professional standards of procedure and conduct.

We endeavour to use reputable suppliers who comply with our values and all applicable laws, including the Modern Slavery Act.

Our Training

To ensure an understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking within our supply chain and our business, our senior management team are alive to the importance of this matter and the need for awareness-raising and targeted training.

We plan to provide training to all of our employees, including broad awareness-raising training to staff generally and more detailed training to those members of staff who deal directly with procurement and supply chain management.

Our Aims

We aim to publicise our commitment to combating modern slavery and human trafficking as widely as possible and to continue to raise awareness of the issue with our suppliers and other third parties.
